Chester E. Pontz Memorial Scholarship
Each year, Pontz Landscape Service, Inc. offers the Chester E. Pontz Memorial Scholarship Fund
in honor of its founder, the late Chester E. Pontz of Lancaster, PA. This $1000.00 scholarship
is awarded annually to a deserving high school senior from Lancaster or York counties who is
planning a horticultural related career. Payment of the scholarship will be made directly to the
college/school upon written notification of the student's acceptance in a horticultural /
landscaping program, i.e. landscape contracting, landscape architecture, landscaping
environmental science, biology or plants, etc.
Applications will be mailed to applicants upon request. To request an

3. Seriousness of purpose
4. Qualities / traits of leadership, citizenship and
service.
5. Recommendation of guidance counselor.
6. Goal: a career in horticulture.

later than March 31 2007.
