Derrick Reitzel
Derrick joined us as a crew member in the spring of 2001. He came here directly after
graduating from the Living World Academy in Lancaster and the Lancaster Career and
Technology Center where he was enrolled in the Landscape Technology program.
During his time here he has definitely proven himself to be a valuable worker. Derrick was
promoted to Crew Leader Assistant in 2004 and then Crew Leader in spring of 2005. Derrick has
also been appointed our Safety Officer and, as such, leads our in-house safety program.
When asked why he chose to pursue landscaping work Derrick said that it is because he enjoys
the outdoors and working with plants. His other interests include hiking, basketball and
caving. Derrick currently lives in Conestoga with his parents and brother Brandon.
